A Strong Black Woman

Strong as strong can be. There is no one like me.

I grew up in the hood where no one understood.

There I was in a predominantly black city. Where

there was no pity.  I survived from the nitty gritty.

I was free.  Didn’t have everything but a strong

history that ran deep. Yes its me Marie. I now

have victory. Our people went through down

through the ages.  I am no longer stuck, but my

experience has turned pages.  In life there are

things I am facing. In all my getting, I am getting

understanding. A strong black woman was taught

to take it under stressful situations. You can make it!

What God has for me it is for me.  I continue to seek

God on my knee. For many life is a struggle, priorities

we sometime juggle.  It doesn’t matter who you know

or where you been, but trusting God is what makes you

A Strong Black Woman!
